With our partner Cisco we got to hear first-hand from Carlene Coward, Inclusive Communities Programme Manager - EMEAR at Cisco.  

Carlene talks about the role of 30 employee resource groups and networks at Cisco in putting DEI at the forefront of the business agenda.

With an informal background in the diversity space, Carlene has recently stepped into a full-time role supporting Cisco's Inclusive Communities across EMEAR. Prior to this she spent 5+ years working in Corporate Social Responsibility for Cisco’s UK & Ireland team, where increasing the diversity pipeline into technology careers was a key priority. During this time she was a core member of the UKI Inclusive Leadership Team and re-established the local chapter of Cisco’s Connected Black Professionals Employee Resource Group, which she co-led until just recently.
 
Carlene is committed to equality and diversity, working towards full inclusion for everyone, regardless of their background or circumstances.
