A hybrid work environment that works for all

Remote work or flexible work arrangements were not unheard of before the pandemic. However, the shift gained huge momentum and organizations had to react quickly to ensure the "work" is sustained. Many hybrid models emerged right after the first months into the pandemic and there are still many big, small or medium companies looking to find their own approach, and move from a temporary setting into a sustainable model.

In this course, you will understand the foundations of hybrid models and work with leading examples of different approaches.

As a leader, you'll be equipped with the knowledge and tools that will take you the steps for co-creating the hybrid environment for your team or company.

You'll be able to ask questions to experts in the course sections.

This Shaker Academy course is about "co-creating a winning hybrid workplace"!
Shaker Academy is founded by the "Shake up the Workplace!" initiative to access Future of Work enthusiasts and enable them to take action through online knowledge sharing. This course was the first course created as a reaction to support workplaces during pandemic worldwide and has been updated over time. Shake up the Workplace! is the only active Future of Work ecosystem within Europe.

Module 4: Managing meeting effectiveness, inclusion and innovation

What are the ways of working in the hybrid workplace for remote and on-site employees?
Our processes that worked for office life will not be exactly working on the hybrid model. We are already experiencing remote meeting restrictions.

  • How should we maintain effectiveness after also adding the complexity on-site and online combination?
  • How do we keep inclusive of those who are not able to meet face to face?
  • How can we continue to innovate?

Our experts Jane Piper and Linda Armbruster will answer these questions together through examples and best practices in Module 4 "Meeting effectiveness, inclusion, and innovation".

Testimonials about Shake Up The Workplace

I personally had a wonderful experience. Very energizing to attend a conference that is challenging the way things have been done in the past. It was refreshing to mix the big corporations with other players like academia and start-ups. Also, it was inspiring to see how our group really engaged with our session and showed up vulnerable, which is a very important condition for our approach to be meaningful.

Irene Hornero Garrido, Global Leadership Development Transformation Lead

I am really proud to be part of the 'Shake up the Workplace' community, it is a warm and welcoming group that meets to exchange ideas on how to make work better. There is plenty of opportunities to learn and get involved with virtual coffee discussions, webinars, in-person meetings, and an active Slack channel. It is great to be connected to like-minded people all striving for a better work environment.

Fran Maitland, Global HR Leader

The Shake Up The Workplace Team created such a safe space for us all to interact and network. The breakout sessions were very insightful and the speakers inspiring. I still can't believe we got to be at the Kunsthaus for this, huge kudos to you for making this happen!
Congratulations on a really successful outcome and bringing together very interesting people and backgrounds. Well done you all!

Daniela Landherr, Head of Talent Engagement & Outreach
