Systemic Change in the Workplace

What is SYSTEMIC CHANGE?

Systemic change refers to significant and fundamental changes that occur within a system or organization, affecting its structure, function, and behavior.

Instead than only treating the symptoms of issues or obstacles, it entails addressing their underlying causes. When conventional approaches have failed or when a more sustainable, equitable, and resilient system is required, systemic change is usually useful. Changes in technology, culture, social norms, or policy are a few examples of systemic change.

WHAT'S NEXT?

The recent pandemic has highlighted the interconnectedness and vulnerability of our society, while also exposing the strengths and weaknesses of our systems. To address the ongoing crises we face, it's essential to examine our systems more closely and act from a deeper understanding.

Many of the systems and processes we've created are exacerbating the crises, making the use of holistic approaches all the more necessary. Rather than simply addressing the visible symptoms, we need to dedicate time and resources to identify and tackle the root causes.

In this insightful mini course, Severin von Hünerbein will share his expertise on how to create lasting, systemic change. Severin is a social innovator and a facilitator at the Catalyst Lab* - The Future Laboratory for Switzerland.
